That's what we're going for here: an excellent balance between function, form & feel--saving time on design while still delivering quality & user-friendly results so you can focus your energy elsewhere- like making money or trying out new marketing strategies.
But, Does all this mean MAP is just another process level of MVP? Or is it entirely replacing MVP? Well, let’s see!
Is it possible to convert an MVP to MAP if you've already built one?

To do this, you must carry out multiple analyses including research or a survey related to your product or solution you are offering; in order build an accurate understanding for what will work best in future.
In addition, there are three strategies that can help you identify opportunities:
- Map your ideal customer's Journey
- Understand consumer's preferences and what they want from you
- Investigate or Compare features between competitors' products objectively using relative values (Vs), condemns/defects(CD) analysis.
Is it possible to do all this? Yes! There are some valuable resources and metrics available like website analytics, traffic, social media engagement, audience responses, and reviews will definitely help you to analyze, without doing one-on-one surveys!
Before shifting right away towards development, ask how?
You need to ask a ton of questions :
- Your current goal & message behind the product?
- Will it provide a better solution for consumers?
- Will your MAP make a difference for your company?
- How will your MAP reach your consumers?
- What will be the cost & time required to build?
Keep asking how until you achieve your objectives. The more answers you find, the more you'll be able to tailor your product development to meet your customers' needs.
Design process & user flow :
The process of designing a product or app is not easy. It takes particular thought and consideration for every detail in order to make sure that it will be user-friendly, yet still appealing aesthetically when looking at your finished product from all angles - frontality including!
So before you start working on any parts or stages, remember: what do customers need? How can I help them with my design methods, so they feel comfortable using this new functionality?" keep in mind the primary vision & keep focusing on basic tasks.
Building functionalities & features :
Here, is the main thing to focus on maintaining the "awesome look" but also the "friendly-yet useful features & effects"
For that, list out all the features of your product properly in order to give it an awesome user experience. Don't just include things because they are important or desired by yourself, but make sure these features will be helpful for consumers as well!
If you are unsure about the scope of your feature, prioritise and categorise each one. You can define what needs to be done for it so that when users come in with their feedback on how awesome or not this idea is - whether it's good enough based on customer preferences.
Build a MAP prototype and evaluate how it works and whether this aligns with customers' wants and preferences. Make a new list and try again if something doesn't work.
Development & Monitoring :
You can now develop your MAP for business! It's time to take action and complete all of the research, templates & designs. But is it really over when you are finished? Of course not!
Founders are ready to do everything, but it's not preferable here. Development is a core part. From picking up the right stacks to workable frameworks everything should be done professionally. Approach should be more of a result-oriented one, rather than the experimental one.
Also, development & testing are connected for infinity. You develop something & monitoring it will give you more clarity as well as points for improvement. This cycle goes on.
Follow alpha-beta testing method :
Alpha-Beta testing is a combinational method of executing where you interact with two different states of mind. One is testing in a limited group such as your friends, family, etc. &
In beta, you can take the next step forward & go with a real-world product evaluation. So, Your MAP gets ready for Beta testing only after the product completes Alpha testing successfully.
If you face any issues while testing, you can always go back to improvement & make changes by reviewing the analytics. But, do not stop after the improvement. Test it again.
Why is MAP rising and replacing MVP?
